Need Leads? / This 1961 Dodge WM300 Power Wagon was converted into a fire pumper by P.E. Van Pelt of Oakdale, California, before it was delivered new to the Bolinas, California, fire department. It was decommissioned in 1998 and purchased by the prior owner, with whom it remained until it was acquired by the current owner in 2017. A subsequent refurbishment completed in May 2018 involved separating the body from the frame, removing the firefighting equipment, and installing a cargo bed as well as refreshing the interior and refinishing the body in red. The interior is trimmed in black leather, and power is from a 251ci inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a Weber carburetor, a PTO-driven winch, power-assisted steering and brakes, 16" steel wheels, running boards, a side-mounted ax and shovel, and a heater. This WM300 Power Wagon is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a purchase record dated January 1961, an owner's manual, refurbishment receipts and photos, and a clean California title.
