List Yours $5 TXT "LIST" to 21002/ This 1960 Mercedes-Benz 220Sb was first owned by American aviator and entrepreneur Lloyd Stearman, who founded his eponymous aircraft manufacturer in 1927 and later served as president of Lockheed. Stearman reportedly used the car on a driving tour of Europe before importing it into the United States, and ownership later passed to his daughter, who donated it to the Kansas Aviation Museum circa 2010. The car has not subsequently been driven, although its 2.2-liter inline-six runs, and carburetor work has been performed following the selling dealer's acquisition in early 2024. Aviation-themed details consist of dual ignition coils, a lever-based throttle-control mechanism, and aftermarket instrumentation including an altimeter, an ammeter, a tachometer, and a vacuum-pressure gauge. Other equipment includes a column-shifted four-speed manual transmission, 13" steel wheels, a Sears air-conditioning system, a Motorola pushbutton radio. This running Fintail project is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve in Kansas with period service records, correspondence, and a clean Missouri title. For Leads Visit: CarsBuyText.com
