List Yours $5 Just $299 This 1917 American LaFrance is said to have departed the factory on June 16, 1917, for delivery to the fire department of Dunn, North Carolina. The vehicle was later imported to the UK, where it underwent a refurbishment in Hampshire by Richard Skinner of Tudor Wheels and his father that included shortening and lightening of the chassis and the fabrication of four-seat touring coachwork. In the 2010s the car was imported to the US, where it received a repaint in its current shade of black. Power is provided by a 14.5L T-head inline-six that features a single updraft carburetor and dual-spark ignition fed by a magneto and a coil. The rear wheels are driven via a remote-mounted three-speed manual gearbox and a chain-drive rear axle. The car also features rear drum brakes, black-painted wire wheels, an electric starter, and green leather interior upholstery. This Torpedo Speedster-style American LaFrance was purchased by the selling dealer two years ago and is now offered with a clean Missouri title. CarsBuyText.com CarsBuyText.com
