My interest in cars has been a slow burn, likewise with any affinity towards a particular make and model. But I've always thought there was something special about an old Mercedes-Benz. This year, I was looking for a fun weekend car in earnest, and I knew about BaT from occasionally exchanging interesting listings with my grandfather. He influenced my interest in older Mercedes. As I remember, he first showed me his 1968 250SE when I was around 10 years old. That car was sold on Bring a Trailer in 2018, and now I'm sad I didn’t appreciate the car at the time!
