This 1953 Aston Martin DB2 is one of approximately 300 saloons manufactured during three years of production and is a US-specification example that was delivered new with power from a 2,580cc Vantage VB6B inline-six on May 30, 1953, to its first owner in Palm Beach, Florida, via Waco Motors. Chassis LML/50/358 later spent time in the Prince and Skyline Museum in Okaya, Japan, before being purchased by its previous owner and returned to the US approximately 12 years ago. After the initiation of a mechanical refresh that included an engine overhaul, the car was purchased by the seller, who commissioned completion of the project with refreshes of the brake and suspension systems by Kevin Kay Restorations in Redding, California. Finished in red over beige leather, the car is configured in left-hand drive and also features a David Brown four-speed manual transmission, twin SU carburetors, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, and chromed 16” wire wheels. This DB2 Vantage is now offered with an Aston Martin Heritage Trust report, copies of its factory build records, invoices from the last decade, shop and parts manuals, spare parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
